Learning should be fun, which is why Barking Riverside Explorers is focused on ensuring a varied curriculum. This helps our Explorers experience a wide variety of what this wonderful world has to offer and ensure school-readiness in their subject knowledge within the 7 core areas of learning.
Our approach is based on work by many well-known educational philosophers such as Montessori and Vygotsky which is why we don’t fall into one typical approach to education.
At Barking Riverside Explorers, we are more than just a preschool. Open 49 weeks of the year, we provide consistent, reliable support beyond term time, with our provision continuing through holiday periods via our dedicated holiday club. This means children benefit from continuity, routine, and a familiar environment all year round — not just during term time — while families have the flexibility and support they truly need.
